The property group, RealNet, has added another office to its list of
franchisees, after recognizing the potential to be had in the Jeffrey's Bay
market.
According to the group, Jeffrey's Bay is one of the prime holiday
destinations in South Africa and there are excellent bargains to be had in the
current market.
Entry price apartments, for example, are going for as little as R330,000,
while family homes are selling for under R1 million.
"The top market bracket now offers unparalleled buying opportunities," said
Rachie Badenhorst, the co-owner of Rachie Badenhorst Properties which converted
to the RealNet brand recently. "Demand is weak, which means buyers can pick up
real bargains. There is room for serious price negotiations, with some sellers
willing to lower their price expectations by up to 40% if they are pressured to
sell."
Badenhorst chose to join RealNet in order to benefit from the backing of a
larger, well-established property group.
"Although our agency has flourished since its opening in 2006, my partner
James Hinto and I decided the time was ripe for joining a larger group, and we
selected the RealNet group based on its values, sound business model and its
personal involvement with franchisees, the last of which closely mirrors our own
approach to clients," said Badenhorst.
Jeffrey's Bay is best known as one of the best destination's in South Africa
to catch a wave. Its gorgeous beaches, laid back lifestyle and year round
festivals attract holidaymakers from all over the world, whether to enjoy the
endless summer months or the mild winters, where water sports are still
practiced.
