Central Cape Area Flourishing - 08-20-08

August 20 - Despite the fact that winter is usually a quiet time in the property market, and combined with the fact that the general situation in the current market is far from ideal, Pam Golding Properties has announced that it has managed to close several lucrative deals in the Central Cape area and surrounding neighborhoods.

According to Laurie Wener, the Managing Director for Pam Golding Properties in the Western Cape metro region: "Contrary to popular belief among some market commentators, sales are still happening, particularly for those agents and agencies who have the experience and resources to adapt to current market conditions, and who are able to attract serious and qualified buyers to their varied selection of excellent stock. And of course the Central City and surrounding areas continue to hold great appeal to young professionals, and they offer the opportunity to work close to home, cut down on transport expenses and commuting time, and enjoy a trendy urban lifestyle."

Pam Golding Properties have finalized a number of deals in the past month alone in the Central Cape area. What is noteworthy is that almost all the properties were purchased by local South Africans and not international customers as has been the norm in previous years.

Four one-bedroom apartments were sold in the Central City, with their prices ranging anywhere from R600,000 to R1.535 million.

Activity in the Tamboerskloof region is also picking up, with two two bed-roomed apartments having being sold for R1.4 million and R1.85 million respectively.  In the nearby Gardens, a two bed-roomed unit sold for a whopping R3.335 million.
